Justin Bieber’s Manager, Scooter Braun, And Wife Yael Welcome Baby Son
Justin Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, and his wife, Yael, have a new baby son.
Yael Cohen Braun gave birth to a baby boy in a Los Angeles hospital on Friday, February 6.
According to TMZ, Justin was one of the first greeters on Saturday to see the new baby.
It’s reported the Biebs’ arrival on the ward floor “freaked out” some of the nurses who were unaware of the starry pals of the new parents.
Scooter, 33, and Yael, 28, began dating in early 2013. They got engaged in January 2014.
Six months later, the couple married in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada, in July. Justin performed “All You Need Is Love” at the wedding reception.
Star guests at the Braun nuptials included the Biebs, Sophia Bush, Carly Rae Jepsen, Ed Sheeran, Tom Hanks, and his wife, Rita Wilson.
While the name of the Braun baby isn’t yet known, the new arrival joins the next generation of Team Bieber.
Allison Kaye, manager of Braun’s entertainment company, had a baby son last year.
Meanwhile, the stage manager and musical director of Bieber’s tours also welcomed baby boys with their partners this year.
Canadian Yael is the founder and CEO of F*** Cancer, a charity that advocates for early detection and prevention of cancer. She launched the organization back in 2009 after her mother’s diagnosis with breast cancer.
Many will be wondering if Justin will be named as a godfather to Scooter and Yael’s baby. The singer’s relationship with his manager stretches back to 2006, when Braun first came across the then 12-year-old YouTube sensation’s videos.
Braun arranged for Justin and his mother, Pattie Mallette, to meet his partner, R&B singer Usher, in Atlanta.
Together, the two men signed the young singer to the Raymond Braun Media Group company, before brokering a major deal with Island Def Jam Records, through its then-head L.A. Reid.
Justin was only Scooter’s second artist that he took on after rapper Asher Roth. However, it was the phenomenal success of the Biebs’ first three albums that made Braun’s name — and fortune.
He now manages a roster of artists including Carly Rae Jepsen, Ariana Grande, Tori Kelly, Psy, and Rixton, and recently placed No. 41 on Billboard’s 2015 Power 100 List.
Meanwhile, as well as dropping by rapper Big Sean’s Yahoo! Live show at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, on Saturday, Justin posted a tweet that seems to allude to the new baby.
The 20-year-old tweeted, “Today is a great day. So much love.”
