Yep. That’s him. Well, instead of getting a modeling contract, Meeks got a sentence handed to him by a California federal judge. The judge sentenced the popular bad boy to prison for more than two years for a gun possession dating back to last year.
According to NY Daily News, the 30-year-old “swoon-worthy” convict was arrested on June 18 in Stockton, California, during a gang sweep. His mug shot became a viral sensation when the Stockton Police Department posted his photo on Facebook. The post garnered over 102,000 likes from everyone, and at one point admirers donated money for his legal fees.

In addition to serving two years in federal prison, Jeremy Meeks will have to complete 500 hours at the Bureau of Prisons Substance Abuse Treatment.
Despite his imprisonment, Jeremy Meeks did sign a contract with not one but two Hollywood agents back in July. His agent, Gina Rodriguez, had to dispute rumors that he had signed with Blaze Models, but at the time she said that endorsement deals were coming in.
Rodriguez believes that Meeks will eventually make $30,000 to $100,000 a month in entertainment jobs. We’re guessing all of that will have to be put on hold until Jeremy Meeks gets out of prison.
Back when his GoFundMe donation page was launched, people flocked with interest, and it reached $6,064. The page painted Meeks as a doting father, who was trying to leave his sketchy past in the rear view.
His mother frequently posted updates on the page, including pictures and messages to his “fans.”
“He has a job and… He was on his way to work. With no gang affiliations as per two of the charges. He has old tattoos..which causes him to be sterotyped [sic]. He’s my son and I’m just trying to raise funds to help him in anyway. Please help him to get a fair trial or else he’ll be railroaded.”
Although Meeks’ mother seemed excited about his popularity, there was someone who wasn’t — his wife. A friend of hers, Rajanique Davis, spoke with CBS Sacramento about the memes that were created of his mug shot on Calvin Klein ads.
“It’s ridiculous. People are making jokes when this is not funny at all. She’s furious. Her man is in there and people are taking it as a joke, thinking it’s funny talking about his looks, saying all kinds of crazy things.”
