Florida Man’s Security Cameras Catch Him Exposing Himself To Neighbors

Gary Palmer of West Park, Florida, was caught exposing himself to his neighbors by his own home surveillance system.

The 49-year-old Palmer allowed local law enforcement officers to view the security footage in which he can be seen standing in his yard wearing nothing but a green bathrobe, masturbating while staring in the direction of his neighbor’s home, according to a report by Deputy Wilinne Renard.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office indicated that his neighbor had complained to a deputy about the indecency, indicating to the officer that he had stood in his yard looking at her and her 2-year-old child while he stared at them, touching himself.

Palmer was arrested by deputies at his home on Harvard Road after his own surveillance system’s security footage confirmed his neighbor’s complaint. Deputies subsequently confiscated his robe and the digital video recorder as evidence.

West Park is a municipality of Broward County, Florida, United States. The city’s motto is “The City of Positive Progression.” It was established on March 1, 2005.

The current mayor of the city of West Park is Eric H. Jones, Jr. The town has a total area of 2.2 square miles and as of 2010, a population of over 14,000 people, according to Wikipedia.

Broward Judge John Hurley ordered his bond be set at $25,000 during his first court appearance, which took place on Tuesday, the Sun Sentinel reported.

Although Palmer was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior against a child, the judge found that there was no evidence indicating the toddler had witnessed his alleged actions due to the police report’s indication that the mother had taken her child indoors; however, the judge did say that there were reasonable grounds to support a misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure.

While Assistant Public Defender Dale Miller protested the amount of the bond, arguing that it was too for the alleged misdemeanor offense Palmer was charged with, Hurley retained the amount of the bond while also ordering that Palmer stays at least 500 feet away from his neighbor. Hurley also ordered him to wear a GPS monitoring device if he’s released prior to the trial.

Local 10 reported that Palmer told a BSO deputy that he had nothing to hide when the officer approached him after his neighbor called the authorities about his lewd behavior. He then allowed authorities to view the video which allegedly shows him standing in his green bathrobe, wearing absolutely nothing underneath, staring across the street while masturbating.

West Park is bordered by Miami-Dade County, Pembroke Park, Hollywood, and Miramar.
