‘Teen Mom OG’ Premiere Date Announced: Watch The Trailer Here! [VIDEO]
Teen Mom OG will premiere on MTV next month, and this time around, things with the cast are going to be a bit different.
“The upcoming installment will feature a close look at the actual filming (e.g. action slates and cast members putting on their microphones) — plus the ladies’ personal connections with behind-the-scenes folks,” MTV announced in a February 5 report.
According to a press release, the series will not only follow the four young mothers and their significant others, but also members of the filming crew.
“‘Teen Mom OG‘ will break the fourth wall, pulling back the curtain to reveal their relationships with the producers and crew, the challenges of raising children on camera, and how life in the public eye has shaped them as parents and people.”
Catelynn Lowell was the first cast member to tweet about the news.

Around the same time, MTV shared a tweet about the upcoming Teen Mom OG season with fans.

Accompanying Lowell during Season 5 of the show are Amber Portwood, Maci Bookout, and Farrah Abraham. Although it was previously announced that Abraham would not be back, Us Weekly revealed last month that she had also been filming for Teen Mom OG.
As the Inquisitr reported, Abraham released the following statement regarding her return to MTV.
“There’s going to be lots of excitement from the Teen Mom fans and MTV’s fan base as well, so I’m excited to be back!”
“I think it was important because I mean just weighing out the options and my future for my daughter, I think Teen Mom is important for the children and their futures. And I think it holds some good opportunities for Sophia and her future,” she explained.
“I’m not doing anything differently that I would not do when the cameras are there or not there. I mean, I don’t know if it really benefits me to be on TV because I was most successful in my career when I was away from Teen Mom. So if it benefits me then that’s randomly benefitting. I’m more or less looking at it to benefit Sophia.”
Along with MTV’s announcement of Teen Mom OG were four trailers for each of the women.
