Bobbi Kristina Brown Dead? Family Waiting For Cissy Houston Before Ending Life Support [Report]
Bobbi Kristina Brown is not dead, despite reports that her family has chosen to take her off of life support today. According to TMZ, that decision is coming, and it could be made at some point today, but the family has not yet moved forward. The report states that the family is waiting for Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother, Cissy, to arrive at the hospital to say her goodbyes. Cissy, Whitney Houston’s mother, is expected to arrive at Emory University Hospital some time this afternoon.
According to People Magazine, doctors have told Krissy’s family that there is nothing more they can do to save her life. The family has gathered at the hospital to say their final goodbyes, as Krissy lays in a hospital bed without movement or brain activity.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Bobbi Kristina Brown was found face down in a bathtub over the weekend. Police responded to reports of a person drowned in a tub, signifying that Krissy was without life when she was found. Despite efforts of paramedics to get her heart beating again, reports indicate that her brain went without oxygen for two to five minutes, which was enough to impact brain function.
The family has asked for prayers for the 21-year-old, and has been holding on to the smallest bit of hope during this extremely difficult time.
“Bobby has been crying nonstop since yesterday. We are grieving,” said a source.
“It’s sinking in that this is it, but we’re all still praying that God will intervene and heal her body,” said a family member.
How this happened to Bobbi Kristina Brown is unknown. There are widespread rumors about a suicide attempt, and many believe that she tried to recreate her mother’s death in some way. Whitney Houston was found unconscious in a bathtub on Feb. 11, 2012, after taking a deadly cocktail of drugs. There hasn’t been any confirmation of drugs found in Krissy’s system, but if she passes away, that information will more than likely become available. Her official cause of death will also be telling. Whitney died of drowning, but heart disease and cocaine were listed as “contributing factors.”
Police originally said that they did not find drugs in Bobbi Kristina’s Georgia home, but after a second, more thorough sweep, sources say that drugs were indeed found. The aspiring star was reportedly depressed, and was still grieving over the loss of her beloved mother.
Update: Bobby Brown’s lawyer has also confirmed that Krissy has not been taken off of life support just yet, according to Life & Style Magazine.
“If we issued a statement every time the media published a false report regarding this matter, that’s all we would be doing 24 hours a day. This is false, just as is the vast majority of the other reporting that is currently taking place,” he said.
