Carrie Underwood recently opened up about the outfit that she will be wearing on the night of the Grammy award ceremony.
Carrie could have chosen a popular designer to create a stylish gown that will likely be featured on the “Hot” side of Sunday’s “Hot or Not” list. However, the 31-year-old singer revealed in an interview with E! News that she has apparently decided to go with something a little more comfortable.
“I’ll be in my pajamas watching it from the comfort of my couch.”
Underwood further explains that, due to the late stage of her pregnancy, she has been advised by her doctor to nix any long-distance travel plans — which includes traveling to the one of the biggest events in the music industry that only comes around once a year.
“I wish I could go to the Grammys, but travel’s kind of out for me at this point… It’s tempting, but I can’t fly that far away this late in my pregnancy.”
Even though Carrie will not be able to attend the event, the six-time Grammy winner did not hesitate to joke about not letting that stop her from dressing up anyways.
“I should just get all dressed up anyways. I should get my hair and makeup done, and get a dress and watch it from my couch all dressed up like I’m there!”
Carrie Underwood was nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for the hit duet, “Somethin’ Bad,” that she performed with country music star Miranda Lambert. Underwood also received a nomination for Best Country Solo Performance thanks to her own hit single, “Something in the Water.”

AXS claimed that Carrie’s due date is possibly in late April or early May, so she might also have to pass on attending the upcoming Academy of Country Music awards scheduled for April 19. Underwood has been nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year for that particular awards ceremony.
Carrie Underwood announced that she and her husband, 34-year-old Mike Fisher, were expecting their first child together back in September of last year.
She cleverly made the announcement by posting a picture of herself with her two dogs wearing adorable shirts that spilled the beans on her official Instagram page.
Carrie Underwood and NHL player Mike Fisher were married in 2010.
