Katy Perry Tapped To Join 2015 Grammys Line Up
Following her recent major success with the Super Bowl halftime show, pop superstar Katy Perry is now reportedly set to sing at the Grammys annual awards show on Sunday, February 8.
According to Ace Showbiz, Perry will be singing her ballad, “By the Grace of God” taken from her latest 2013 album Prism during the iconic awards show.
Billboard reported Katy was added to the line-up of performers to appear at the 2015 Grammy Awards at Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 8.
Billboard had an exclusive interview with Perry back in 2013 about the song, “By the Grace of God,” where the words of the song are about the fact that she contemplated committing suicide after her divorce from comedian and actor Russell Brand.
“That song is evident of how tough it really was at a certain point. I asked myself, ‘Do I want to endure? Should I continue living?'”
The announcement of Katy Perry featuring at the 2015 Grammys came shortly after the pop superstar headlined at the Super Bowl halftime show on February 1. Perry featured several of her biggest hits at the event, including “Roar” and “Teenage Dream”.

Appearing with special guests Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliott, Perry’s performance ended up being the most-watched TV broadcast ever in the U.S., with around 114.4 million views glued to the screen.
In keeping with Perry’s Super Bowl spectacular, the star is apparently already planning a highly visual spectacle for the Grammys, with dance elements to play a central role as they did at Sunday’s event.
Katy Perry is just the latest in an already impressive line-up for the 2015 Grammys, which is set to include Ariana Grande, Kanye West, Lady Gaga, Madonna and apparently several more, due to appear on stage on February 8.

Speaking of the Super Bowl event, the Inquisitr reports that Katy was upset with her ex-husband, Russell Brand, after he sent a tweet of encouragement prior to her performance. She accused him of trying to steal her limelight and that he had a cheek to upstage her, by tweeting his message to his over nine million followers.
