Bruce Jenner’s Mother On Son’s Sex Change: ‘I Have Never Been More Proud Of Bruce’
As the reports of an imminent sex change for Bruce Jenner are confirmed, the Keeping up with the Kardashians star’s mother, Esther Jenner, has come out in full support of her son’s decision, saying she has, “never been more proud” of him.
Speaking to Radar Online, Esther revealed that she herself had just learned about the news,
“I just learned about [his transition]. Bruce filled me in, and we had a very long, long, long talk about it. I have never been more proud of Bruce for who he is, himself as a father, as an Olympian, a wonderful public speaker. He instills enthusiasm in people. He’s gifted. I support him whole-heartedly. I just love him like I always have.”
This is not the first time that Esther has spoken to the media about her son. Back in November for example, the 88-year-old mom spoke to MailOnline, at the time of his widely publicized divorce from Kris Jenner,
“I love him, no matter what. There’s such raunchy publicity all the time. I don’t know. I’ve brought this up to him on the phone when we’ve talked and he says ‘mum you can’t believe this stuff,’ he said you can’t pay any attention to this stuff and I said ‘well I want to tell you one thing Bruce, I don’t care if what they’re putting out is true or false, it’s not going to change my love for you,’ and it’s true that’s exactly how I feel, but I don’t like it.”
Despite that, she makes no bones about the fact that she is no fan of Bruce Jenner’s long hair, as she shared, “I hate his hair, I tell him it’s ugly. That it’s ridiculous. I told him on the phone the other day, we were talking about it and I said “you know Bruce, you just turned 65 and you’re wearing you’re hair like you’re a teenage rebel.”
Other reports offer mixed messages about the Bruce Jenner transformation, as some of his kids are allegedly all for it and some not so much. But, of course, it’s good for Bruce to have this kind of unconditional love and support from a woman who means so much to him, his own mother.
