Linsey Godfrey Injured: ‘Bold And Beautiful’ Star Hit By Car, Reportedly Breaks Both Legs [Updated]
The Bold and the Beautiful star Linsey Godfrey was involved in an accident in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon that has left her with some serious injuries. Few details are available so far, but fans are hoping that she will be able to fully recover.
According to TMZ, Godfrey broke both of her legs after being struck by a car at about 2:30 p.m. Monday. It seems that she was walking down a sidewalk when a car was in an accident with another vehicle and then careened onto the sidewalk where she was.
Linsey was reportedly pinned under the car initially. A bystander had moved her out from under the car by the time emergency responders arrived and she was rushed to the hospital via ambulance. At the time of the initial TMZ report, it was said that Godfrey was in surgery to repair her two broken legs. Neither driver was arrested in the incident.
As Bold and Beautiful fans know, Godfrey is in the thick of central storylines right now on the popular soap. Caroline’s marriage to Rick has fallen apart, but her relationship with Ridge may be blossoming once again. B&B spoilers for this week have teased some big moments for Godfrey’s character and fans are anxious to see what lies ahead.
Obviously it’s too soon to know just how Linsey Godfrey’s accident and injuries will impact her ability to work or her character’s storyline in the coming weeks or even months. At this point, Linsey’s fans are most concerned with her recovery and hope the 26-year-old is doing okay.
As Godfrey’s fans know, she is both a cancer survivor and a new mom. Linsey battled Hodgkin’s lymphoma at the age of 18 and went into remission after 12 rounds of chemotherapy in January, 2007. As She Knows Soaps shared last summer, Linsey welcomed baby Aleda Seren Adamson to the world last June. Aleda’s daddy is Robert Adamson, an actor who plays Noah Newman on The Young & the Restless.
At this point, little else is known about Linsey’s accident and injuries. Neither Godfrey or Adamson have shared any details via social media, so for now The Bold and the Beautiful fans will have to stay tuned for updates. Fans and co-workers are rushing to Twitter to send their support and encouragement to Linsey Godfrey as they wait for further news on her condition and everybody hopes that she will have good news regarding her recovery to share soon.
Updated: E! Online shares that according to Linsey’s rep, she is recuperating at the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. While initial reports indicated that both of Godfrey’s legs were broken, her rep indicates that she suffered ankle injuries that required medical attention. More information on the Bold and Beautiful star’s condition will hopefully emerge soon.
