PlayStation 4 players will need the same amount of free hard drive space, but it looks like it will not be available to download until the PlayStation Store update Tuesday afternoon. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 beta downloads will be approximately 4 GB and will be available early Tuesday morning and in the afternoon respectively.
Update 11 a.m. ET: The Battlefield Hardline beta is available to download for the Xbox 360. PlayStation 4 owners in Europe can download the beta.
Update 6 p.m. ET: The Battlefield Hardline beta is now available to download for PS4 and PS3 owners everywhere.
As covered in this article from last week, the beta comes with three different maps and three modes of gameplay. The modes support from 32 to 64 players in the classic Conquest mode. However, every weapon, gadget, piece of armor, and vehicle will be available for players to unlock and play with.
The official website posted a news bit today that details how the progression works in Battlefield Hardline. The short story is that you earn cash by getting kills or performing actions that help your team. That cash can then be spent on guns and equipment. Meanwhile, Service Stars need to be earned to unlock vehicle modifications, weapon attachments, and class loadouts. Check out the link to see the full details.
