Kristen Taekman Hints At ‘RHONY’ Drama With Bethenny Frankel

Kristen Taekman recently spoke out about the upcoming seventh season of The Real Housewives of New York City.

As she and the rest of the cast continue filming the series’ latest installment, Taekman spoke with the New York Daily News, teasing of the drama to come with returning housewife Bethenny Frankel.

Although Kristen Taekman claims she was “ecstatic” to get to know Frankel, who returned for season seven after taking three seasons off, things haven’t gone as planned, and according to her, Frankel hasn’t been what she expected.

“I thought that with Bethenny, it’s like you can’t judge a book by its cover. But I think my tune is changing a little bit. I felt that way a minute ago and now I don’t know. I can’t read the cover of the book anymore. I guess I don’t speak that language. I feel like I was looking forward to really getting to know her, and at this point I feel like that hasn’t really happened in a way that I wanted to.”

After the site told Taekman that they had been informed Frankel was being “standoffish” during filming in order to protect her Skinnygirl brand, Taekman agreed.

“I think you hit it on the nose,” she said.

However, that doesn’t mean she’s unhappy about Frankel’s return. In fact, she claims it’s “great.”

The only issue Kristen Taekman seemed to have with the season seven cast was the sheer magnitude of housewives.

“I remember a couple of years ago that some casts, I think it was (‘Real Housewives of) Orange County,’ were only like four or five women, so it’s more intimate…. If you’re a small family of four you can all sit down to dinner together and find out about your days. When you have a family of eight, you’re sitting down to dinner and you might not get down to the other end to find out what they did.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Taekman, Frankel and the rest of the cast were recently joined by Dorinda Medley, who is reportedly a full-time housewife on season seven. And while Medley was allegedly brought aboard the cast by Ramona Singer, things between them are said to have soured.

In December, a source told Radar Online the following.

“Ramona is drawing a line in the sand, and demanding that Dorinda not be made a full-time housewife. It’s bad enough for Ramona that Dorinda at this point will have a recurring role. The ladies had been close friends before Dorinda joined the show, but now Ramona is completely freezing her out. Ramona is insanely jealous of Dorinda because of her wealth and social status in New York society. Out of her mind with craziness, Ramona has even told Bravo to cut Dorinda out of the upcoming season!”

Kristen Taekman will return to Bravo later this year.
