Watch Justin Bieber and Cody Simpson Jam New Song In Rocking Rehearsal [Video]
If you’re jonesing for more Justin Bieber and Cody Simpson after the November release of their duet, “Home To Mama,” then keep it right here.
Both artists are seen rehearsing a rousing, rock-pop duet thanks to a surprise Keek video post by the Biebs’ mother, Pattie Mallette.
“I will follow back on keek everyone who comments on this video! Excited! Remembering @codysimpson @justinbieber,” the author and film producer tweeted on Friday, along with the link to the clip.
The 36-second video shows Justin, 20, and Australian teen star, Cody, 18, rocking out in a full band rehearsal over a song that is possibly called “I Won’t Let You Down.”
Cody is heard singing first, while also playing guitar, on the uptempo song. Then, Justin — who, for some inexplicable reason required someone to help him hold his guitar — kicks in on what sounds like a verse.
The video times out just as the Canadian pounds into the beginning of a full-on chorus in fine voice.
One month after the release of the John Mayer-esque, ballad “Home To Mama,” Simpson chatted to Idolator about his solo music and how far along his duets project with Justin is.
Simpson revealed that the duo’s pair-up came together, while they were prepping their solo albums.
“We spent about two weeks in the studio together just messing around and wrote about 13 songs,” Simpson said. “We did it really casually and didn’t make a big deal about it. It was something cool to pass the time while we’re both working on our own stuff.”
Cody explained, “The stuff I have with Justin is all very much based around romance and women.”
Simpson later reunited with model and new face of Maybelline, Gigi Hadid, while the Biebs broke up, seemingly for the final time, with Selena Gomez.
“We were both in a place where we both had broken up with our girls, and we wanted to get all of that out,” Cody revealed, insisting the album will be released eventually, but said there is no firm date yet.
“We promised fans an album in November, but there’s so much going on that we have to push it to next year. But they will be hearing more, that’s a guarantee. And it won’t take too long,” he told Idolator.
Bieber and Cody’s rehearsal reveal follows Justin’s recent tease of new music snippets on Instagram. The first suggested spiritual change with these lyrics.
“How do our lives become lighter?/ How do our eyes become brighter?/ You gotta believe in something higher,” the Biebs croons.
The mood changed from spiritual to lovesick on the second song snippet.
Justin sings, “When it’s raining, it’s pouring / How do I always end up the enemy? / How do I wake up in the morning and you’re not right next to me? / How did we throw it all away?”
Simpson recently thrilled his own fans with an acoustic cover of Mr. Probz’s “Waves.”
Meanwhile, anticipation for Bieber’s solo album — which it has been revealed he’s working on with Def Jam Records founder and legendary superproducer Rick Rubin — received an update from longtime manager Scooter Braun, thanks to a chat with Billboard at the recent iHeartMedia Music Summit in Burbank, California.
The 33-year-old told the publication, “Um… [Justin] he’s been in the studio with Rick Rubin for the last two weeks now. The vibe has been spectacular. We’re coming this year.”
In addition to fans, Braun isn’t the only one who’s excited about the out-of-the-box pairing.

On January 14, Justin posted a photo with Rubin to his Shots account, writing, “With the man Rick.”
