‘The Blacklist’ Spoilers: ‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Star Ron Perlman Plays Red’s ‘Worst Nightmare’
The Blacklist returns Sunday night with a big episode, and fans cannot wait to dig back into the world of Raymond Reddington. The show then moves to Thursday nights for the rest of Season 2, and it sounds like it’s going to be an explosive set of shows. What Blacklist spoilers are available for the February 1 winter premiere?
Sunday’s show is the first of another two-part episode for the series, and this one is titled “Luther Braxton.” Former Sons of Anarchy star Ron Perlman plays Braxton, and it seems that he is a thief who shares a complicated history with Red. According to a tease via the show’s Facebook page, Braxton is Reddington’s worst nightmare, and that’s saying something considering all of Red’s previous foes.
The TV Guide synopsis teases that Raymond is arrested and taken to a secret detention facility. It is there that he sees Braxton. As this two-parter plays out, viewers will see Braxton working to get confidential information while the team seemingly finds the detention facility but encounters significant trouble as they aim to recover Red.
Clearly, this episode will be a huge one given the prime spot it garnered with airing directly after the Super Bowl. Fans who have been with The Blacklist from the beginning already tune in, but NBC will certainly be aiming to bring on large numbers of additional fans with this episode. Will it work?
From the sounds of the Blacklist spoilers available, this one will be jam-packed with action, teases, and perhaps some big reveals. Not only will Red’s life be in danger, but so will Liz’s.
The CIA isn’t revealing where Red is, but the task force will manage to find where he’s being held and work to rescue him. Red is told by his captors that he officially no longer exists, and Cooper says Red is not coming back. The extended Blacklist spoiler preview indicates that Braxton himself is in custody, and Red tries to warn his captors that Braxton is a serious threat.
Indeed, Braxton and his team take over the facility and they are not playing games. Initially, Ressler and another team member are taken hostage by Braxton and his crew, and soon Liz herself is found in their clutches as well. Why is Braxton so anxious to get his hands on her and where does it all go from there? Fans were left hanging with some big teases and questions in the fall finale, and it’ll be interesting to see how it all ties together now.
Viewers can surely prepare themselves to be left hanging at the end of Sunday’s episode, but they won’t have to wait long for more action. Part 2 will air on Thursday, February 5 and this two-part episode will surely set the stage for a wild ride through the rest of Season 2 of The Blacklist.
