WWE Fans Poke Fun At Cristiano Ronaldo After Red Card And Dwayne Johnson, Irina Shayk Rumors
Cristiano Ronaldo has found himself being abused by WWE fans over the last few days following his red-card against Cordoba. The current Ballon d’Or holder received his marching orders during Sunday’s encounter after he lashed out at Cordoba defender Eldimar.
You can check out Ronaldo’s kick and slap, which resulted in him being dismissed below.

Unfortunately, this happened to occur on the same day as WWE’s Royal Rumble event, which, after WrestleMania, is regarded as the corporation’s flagship pay-per-view.
But WWE fans didn’t just take to the internet to mock Cristiano Ronaldo because of his act of violence. No, they were inspired to do so because of a variety of rumors involving Cristiano Ronaldo’s now ex-girlfriend, Irina Shayk. The Russian model and the Portuguese athlete recently split after several years of dating.
And soon after they decided to end their time together, rumors started to swirl that he had ended their courtship because she had been getting a little overly cosy with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. And as the below images show, maybe Cristiano Ronaldo had every right to be a tad concerned.

It also just so happened that The Rock was returning to the WWE at that evening’s Royal Rumble, where he helped Roman Reign to victory at the 30-man contest. So the fact that these two incidents occurred on the same night, with the added adultery angle, inspired the good people of the internet to create various images, comics, and tweets. You can check out some of the best of them below.

Cristiano Ronaldo later apologised for his actions, which resulted in him being sent off for the ninth time in his career.
Ronaldo took to Twitter to write, in Spanish, “I apologise to everyone and especially Edimar for my thoughtless action in today’s game.”
Today it was announced that Cristiano Ronaldo would serve a two-game ban for his red card, which means that he will miss Real Madrid’s encounters with Real Sociedad and Sevilla.
