Cynthia Bailey Admits Friendship Contract With NeNe Leakes Was A Joke
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey has had an emotional couple of weeks, as she has learned that her friendship with NeNe Leakes is nothing but a joke at the moment. Even though Bailey had tried to make the friendship work, it appears that she is now feeling foolish for thinking that she had a close friend on the show.
On a previous season, Cynthia Bailey created a friendship contact between herself and NeNe. Bailey had created it because she wanted her friendship with Leakes to be less than dramatic, so it was meant as a peace offering between the two. Cynthia, however, didn’t think that it would end up like this.
According to a new Bravo report, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey decided to burn the friendship contract after her sister brought it up. The two signed the contract and found it to be hilarious at the time. But it sounds like they may have forgotten what it stood for.
“The friendship contract was a joke. It was a light hearted and fun-spirited attempt to start a friendship with laughter as opposed to drama. It was meant to be funny. I guess the joke was on me,” Cynthia Bailey reveals about the friendship contract she burned in her kitchen sink in front of her husband and her sister.
Of course, Bailey feels as if she is learning new things about her former friend. This week, she decided that she wanted to move on and focus more on herself and her businesses. Cynthia may have realized that she won’t get the answers or apologies from NeNe that she had hoped for.
Cynthia Bailey goes on to share a quote by Steve Jobs to sum up how she feels about this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become.”
Instead of focusing on her failed friendship, Bailey decided she wanted to go to Charlotte with her husband, Kenya Moore, and Claudia Jordan. Maybe now that the friendship contract has been burned, Cynthia and NeNe will stop bashing one another in the press. According to the Inquisitr, Cynthia Bailey recently revealed that while she fully supports Kenya Moore on Celebrity Apprentice, she didn’t feel that NeNe did a good job on the show.
