Justin Bieber Appearing As ‘Surprise’ On The Ellen DeGeneres Show For Birthday Edition
Justin Bieber is appearing a surprise guest on Thursday’s edition of The Ellen DeGeneres Show to help Ellen celebrate her 57th birthday, which has been going on all week.
Previously a frequent guest, the heartthrob’s last turn on the popular daytime show was in January 2013. Back in 2009, one of Justin’s first ever interviews was with Ellen.
The first hint of Justin’s appearance with Ellen arrived via a post on his Fahlo account on Wednesday, just hours after he teased new music snippets on Instagram. The 20-year-old wrote as follows.
Further nudges came from the write-up at the program’s official website.
“Anything can happen on Ellen’s annual birthday event – remember when she smooched Colin Farrell?! This year, one of the biggest pop stars in the world will be dropping by, along with a surprise visit by one of Ellen’s very favorite people!”
Then Gossip Cop officially confirmed the news. The site added that Justin didn’t perform at the taping, but he did open up about his personal and professional life.
The Biebs and DeGeneres reportedly talked about his Calvin Klein ads with co-star, model Lara Stone. Earlier this month, the superstar was unveiled as the new face of the brand for Spring 2015 with Stone.
A few weeks back, Ellen joined the many who have spoofed the CK campaign. The comic-host Photoshopped herself into one of Bieber and Stone’s ad poses, in a nod to the recent controversy about their alleged digital enhancement — which has been denied by both the brand and Bieber.

Justin is said to have given Ellen some Calvins and flowers when he came on. In addition to revealing that he dyed his hair blonde for a photo shoot (his hair is now darker), he also chatted about his upcoming Central Comedy Roast, in a special that will be taped six days after his 21st birthday.
Of his decision to be publicly skewered, Gossip Cop writes that Justin explained to Ellen that some of his past behavior “wasn’t the smartest,” but he wanted to show that he knows that and can laugh about it. The site said a source noted Bieber looked “really healthy” and happy to be on the show.
As the singer’s fans know, Justin has marked numerous milestones with Ellen. In 2011, he gave her a lock of his hair as a birthday gift. He matched Target’s donation of $100,000 to Las Vegas’ Whitney Elementary School, and went on to perform a Christmas show for the kids that same year, many of whom are from poor families.
In 2012, Bieber was given a car from his manager, Scooter Braun, on the show, and even received his graduation certificate from DeGeneres in a surprise ceremony on one edition.
After hours of buzz among fans on Wednesday, the singer confirmed his appearance in a tweet with an apology about being nervous.
Good seeing u today @TheEllenShow. Happy birthday! Sorry I was so nervous

A while after, Ellen did the same.

Needless to say, Justin Bieber fans are psyched about the star appearing on DeGeneres’ official birthday show.

I’m glad he decided to have his 1st interview of the year on the only show that hasn’t talked shit about him. Ellen loves him as much as us

Other guests who rocked up to the Wednesday taping for Thursday’s show were Kanye West and Sam Smith, who performed his latest hit, “Lay Me Down.”
Justin’s appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show is all part of the Canadian’s comeback this year, during which he is set to drop a new album and tour.
