Virginia Roberts claims she was once a teen sex slave for American financier Jeffrey Epstein and a host of other powerful men, and now the woman says she fears for her life.
Roberts has leveled claims that she was forced to have sex with a number of high-profile men, including Prince Andrew. Now, after making the bombshell claims, Roberts said she afraid that they might try to exact revenge and shut her up.
"From very early on I was fearful of Epstein. …" she writes in a new affidavit obtained by Radar Online.
"Epstein had promised me a lot, and I knew if I left, I would be in big trouble. I also knew that I was a witness to a lot of illegal and very bad behavior by Epstein and his friends.""If I left Epstein, he knew all kinds of powerful people," she continued.
"He could have had me killed or abducted, and I always knew he was capable of that if I did not obey him. He let me know that he knew many people in high places. Speaking about himself, he said, 'I can get away' with things. I was very scared, particularly since I was a teenager."Virginia's claims are shocking. She said orgies were a "regular occurrence" at Epstein's private island, and that she once had group sex with Britain's Prince Andrew and a number of other women. She even claimed that former U.S. President Bill Clinton was a visitor to Epstein's island.
The U.S. government had previously reached a plea deal with Epstein that saw him serve 18 months for having sex with an underage prostitute, but Roberts and other women are suing the government over how it all unfolded.
Jeffrey Epstein is now speaking out against the allegations, with his lawyers claiming he deserves "protection" and trying to block release of the plea bargain letter from the 2008 case.
"There are valid heightened concerns that voluminous settlement negotiations will be dumped in the court record simply to make them available to the gossip media," his lawyers said.
"This is a widely watched and reported case. Mr Epstein and a host of other individuals have been the subject of the most outlandish and offensive attacks, allegations, and plain inventions."Prince Andrew has also been vocal on the issue, saying that Virginia Roberts is lying about her sex slave allegations.
