Selena Gomez NOT ‘Getting Engaged’ To Zedd, Justin Bieber NOT ‘Furious’ – Despite Clickbait Claim
A claim that Selena Gomez is “getting engaged” to or “moving in” with music producer DJ Zedd has been slammed as false by a Gomez insider. A further fabricated claim alleging the starlet’s former beau Justin Bieber is “furious and jealous” about the so-called situation was also dismissed.
According to watchdog website Gossip Cop, a source close to the Gomez first joked that the actress-singer and Zedd were “registered at Radio Shack” when asked for clarification.
The insider then added that the engagement story is “BS as usual.”
Logically, if the main claim is false, so is the additional fiction that Bieber is “furious and jealous.”
The false story was originally reported at the Celeb Dirty Laundry blog. The notorious site claimed a Gomez-Zedd “engagement [is] on the way” and Bieber is “furious and jealous.”
The site went on to allege that Gomez and Zedd are “already planning their engagement and wedding,” then added, “Don’t be surprised to hear that these two are getting engaged, moving in together, or even getting married.”
Inevitably, Celeb Dirty Laundry dragged Bieber into its claims to include the “love triangle” angle that a number of websites are blindly repeating. This is despite a recent TMZ report stating the Canadian singer is happy being single, and is enjoying spending time with pals Hailey Baldwin and Kendall Jenner.
Regardless, CDL continued, “Bieber might be jealous now, but imagine how jealous he’ll be if he finds out that Selena is getting engaged.”
In their report, Gossip Cop noted that days ago CDL published a ludicrous claim alleging Gomez planned to leak nude photos and naked video of the Biebs. The story was denied as false by a verified insider.
Unfortunately, as the Inquisitr has previously reported, some websites try to gain attention and traffic by luring in Bieber and Gomez fans with sensationalist headlines and baseless stories.
In the past few days alone, Celebrity Dirty Laundry pumped out its “engaged” story, and a number of highly judgmental claims about the former Jelena romance, with no evidence or regard for two young people who have reportedly made efforts to move on.
To sum: a source connected to Gomez has dismissed the “engagement” and “furious and jealous” claims as “BS as usual.”
