New Detail On Christina Aguilera’s Upcoming Album With ‘Caviar Ratchet’ Sound
A new detail has come out regarding Christina Aguilera’s eighth studio album. According to Popdust, Christina is now also collaborating with former Evanescence member David Hodges for her new album.
Hodges, who left Evanescence in 2002, has written and produced hit songs for major acts such as Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Avril Lavigne, Christina Perri, and Daughtry. Known for his pop-rock sound, he may add some empowering ballads to Christina’s album.
Aguilera’s upcoming album will also sound very urban. In an interview with RapUp TV in mid-January, the production and songwriting team known as Da Internz, responsible for Rihanna’s “Birthday Cake” and Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda,” described the sound that they’re cultivating for Christina, whom they consider a “living legend,” as “caviar ratchet.” From what Da Internz said, it seems that Christina will be getting ghetto fabulous.
“It’s upper echelon music with ratchet hood drums and … caviar ratchet… You wanna know what Christina’s music sounds like? 14K caviar ratchet, serving with three fingertips.”
2015 may be a very busy year for Christina Aguilera. Besides her new album, she’s back as a coach on The Voice after being away for two seasons and having Shakira and Gwen Stefani temporarily fill her seat. The show’s eighth season, which is currently holding auditions and filming across the country, premieres on February 23.
Christina may also be going on tour in support of her new album. As reported by That Grape Juice in early January, Christina’s manager, Irving Azoff, said that the superstar, who last toured in 2006-2007 in support of her album Back To Basics, is “getting ready” to hit the road — if The Voice doesn’t take up too much of her time, that is.
“We’re currently putting together a Gwen Stefani tour. Christina, depending on her commitments to ‘The Voice,’ is getting ready.”
In October 2014, Aguilera, who gave birth to her daughter Summer Rain in August 2014, tweeted her excitement over 2015 because of her new baby, album and return to The Voice. Perhaps Christina’s hashtag “#FireAndFun” is a hint for her new album?
New baby. New Music. New season of @NBCtheVoice. Bringing #FireAndFun to all, can't wait for 2015!

While Christina Aguilera has kept her little girl away from the paparazzi, she did recently give her fans a look at her baby’s backside while at the same time poking fun of her reputation as a diva. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Christina posted a photo, taken from behind, of her daughter crawling on the floor while wearing a diaper cover with the words “Lil Diva” on it.
