Gretchen Rossi To Settle Beef With Kristin Chenoweth
Gretchen Rossi is ready to put an end to her feud with Kristin Chenoweth.
Speaking to Rumorfix during Sundance on January 26, Rossi revealed she and Chenoweth have been at odds over comments made by Chenoweth regarding Rossi’s role on The Real Housewives of Orange County.
“Kristin and I got into a Twitter war. She trashed me on the show and I was really sad because I was a really big fan of hers. So I need you to do me a favor. When you’re there I need you to say her, ‘Kristin, she really loves you and she’s really sad that you kind of trashed her because shes a really big fan.’ You need to stick up for me!”
Gretchen Rossi and Kristin Chenoweth’s feud took place years ago, when Rossi was still a part of the cast of The Real Housewives of Orange County. As fans of the show will recall, Rossi was brought onto the show for season four, but got the axe ahead of season nine. Although Rossi became engaged to Slade Smiley in an emotional episode of season eight, a source revealed to Us Weekly that Bravo had grown tired of her story line.
“Alexis and Gretchen were fired. They just had run their course. Gretchen has been on the show a long time, and it was the same old story.”
Ahead of her exit, Gretchen Rossi claimed she was unsure of returning to The Real Housewives of Orange County after getting on the bad side of several of her co-stars, namely Tamra Barney, whom she was once friends with.
“It would take a lot pulling and prodding for me. Nothing’s confirmed yet! Nothing’s been announced – so we will see!”
However, as reported by Reality Tea, when Vicki Gunvalson was asked if she had Rossi fired, she confirmed it was the network who gave her the boot.
“Excuse me?.. I didn’t get rid of Gretchen! Bravo did.”
As the Inquisitr reported earlier this month, Rossi’s time ended with Bravo years ago, but according to her, they did want her to return for a made-for-TV wedding. After being accused of faking her proposal for a story line on The Real Housewives of Orange County, Rossi revealed the news.
“Haha! You couldn’t be more wrong! We have been together for six years now and even after we left the show, so you can suck my right pinky toe! People like you that say shit look that clearly have never found true love like we have and I’m sorry for you. Take care and good luck. Oh and just for your info the show asked us to get married on TV and we declined because it wasn’t the right time for us, we never did anything just for the show.”
Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley are currently planning their wedding.
