Nikki Reed is finally opening up about her new engagement to the Vampire Diaries hunk, Ian Somerhalder, and from the looks of it, the Twilight star couldn’t be happier.
According to Us Weekly, Nikki Reed is finally opening up about her relationship and new engagement to Ian Somerhalder, and from the looks of things, the 26-year-old actress couldn’t be more in love. While attending the Third Annual Catdance Film Festival sponsored by FreshStep on Saturday, January 24, Nikki Reed gushed over her new fiancé.
“He’s so beautiful inside and out!” she told Us Weekly, confirming her engagement for the first time. “He’s quite possibly the most amazing man that’s ever walked the planet, it’s crazy. I’m so lucky, I love him.”

According to Hollywood Life, while the couple has tried to keep the details of their engagement and any wedding plans hushed, there are rumors that the two may have already set a date not only for the wedding, but also for starting a family!
The celebrity news site stated there have been rumors floating around that the couple have set a possible June wedding date and have even decided that they will start planning for a baby sometime this year. A source for Hollywood Life even went on to add that Nikki plans to take Ian’s name when they do finally tie the knot!
“She will be taking Ian’s name and it will be with the hyphen,” the source said. “It is important to him for her to take his name and she is looking forward to adding his name and making it her official name once they get married.”
