Daresa Poe: Sex Ed Teacher Has Sex With Boy In Teacher’s Lounge

An Oklahoma teacher took her sex ed classes too far. Daresa Poe, a sex education teacher at Waynoka High, has been arrested for having sex with a student in, of all places, the teacher’s lounge. WTKR is reporting that 32-year-old Daresa Poe started a relationship with an 18-year-old student. Oklahoma law prohibits teachers from entering a sexual relationship with a student under the age of 21. In some states, the age is 19.

Daresa Poe, who has been working in the Waynoka public school system for six years, is extremely apologetic and is ashamed of her behavior. About the inappropriate affair, she made the following statement.

“I have made a horrible mistake. I have let my judgment falter and I am embarrassed and mortified for the decisions I have made in the last two weeks,” Poe said in a written confession. “I have had sexual intercourse with a student. I am so very sorry for the [decisions] I have made. I would take it back in a heartbeat if the chance was given to me…I hold a position of importance where people and student[s] look up to me and I have failed. For this I am truly sorry.”

Waynoka community members are completely shocked that this could happen in their town. Poe readily admitted to the relationship. According to police, Daresa Poe stated that she has had sex with the student in his truck, at her home, and inside Waynoka High School — including the teacher’s lounge.

Oklahoma law enforcement officials arrested the disgraced teacher and charged her with six counts of second-degree rape and one count of sexual battery, according to the Daily Mail. Daresa Poe has already posted bail. She is due in court on February 10.

Daresa Poe joins a long list of female teachers who have been arrested for having sexual affairs with underage boys. Just days ago, the Inquisitr reported that Brandi Edwards, a Chicago school social worker, was arrested for having relations with a boy at the school. Earlier this month, an Alabama teacher was also arrested for having sex with a student. In another case, Mackenzie Land Matthews, a school guidance counselor, was arrested for having sex with a Licking County student that she was hired to counsel. Lastly, Iris Gibney, a school cheer mom, had sex in a car at a local park.

Jennifer Lopez’s latest movie, The Boy Next Door, touches on the subject of a teacher having sex with a student. In that movie, Jennifer Lopez was unaware that the boy was underage.
