WWE News: Huge Match Being Advertised For ‘Fast Lane’ Pay-Per-View In February
The Royal Rumble hasn’t even happened yet, but many WWE fans are already looking ahead to the future. Not only are they looking ahead to WrestleMania 31, but the brand new Pay-Per-View, Fast Lane, as well, and a huge match is already being advertised for it.
Wrestling Inc. reports that the feud between Roman Reigns and Big Show is set to continue a while longer and they will face off in a Last Man Standing Match at Fast Lane.
According to WrestleZone, the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee, already had an advertisement out stating that another match was happening. The FedEx Forum, where Fast Lane, will be held was originally saying that Roman Reigns and John Cena would be taking on Big Show and Seth Rollins.
Since then, the local ads and the arena website have lost Cena and Rollins from the match and added the Last Man Standing stipulation to Big Show and Reigns.
Ever since Roman Reigns returned from injury, he has been going head-to-head with Big Show. They have had some tense moments and even a few one-on-one matches, but the feud just seems to be never ending.
It’s an interesting thing to think about if Reigns continues his feud with Big Show, then the former member of The Shield may not be winning the Royal Rumble match as many have thought.
Reigns has long been talked about as the main event choice to face off with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31, but things appear to have changed. It could be his promo issues or something else, but this isn’t a good sign.
Maybe it’s not totally out of the question for Daniel Bryan to headline WrestleMania yet again as he’s also looked as another Rumble match favorite.
Then again, Reigns could still go on to win the Rumble match, be in place to headline WrestleMania 31, and just need a feud to kill time. With Brock Lesnar’s limited appearance schedule, the feud with Big Show could merely be used as filler and to build up Reigns credibility even more.
Fast Lane is in its first year, as it is replacing the Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View from the past few years. It is scheduled for February 22, and there are no official matches announced for it, but Roman Reigns and Big Show in a Last Man Standing match is even the first rumored match.
