Tim Tebow Fans Go Crazy Over John 3:16 Coincidence

If you’ve been following the college and short NFL career of Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow you know that he’s an uber-religious Christian and now his stats even appear to be of the divine.

In what is likely a very strange coincidence or perhaps the ability for certain observers to find god in everything they look at it turns out Tebow’s stats during his teams overtime win on Sunday matched that of a famous bible verse.

Fans were quick to point out that Tebow through for 316 yards during his teams win, that number matches the famous bible version John 3:16 which Tebow use to write on his face during some of his college football games at the University of Florida.

If that isn’t enough to have you believing in the divine intervention of god during a football game Tebow also through for 10 completions during his 316 yard performance. That would be an average of 31.6 yards per completion.

Sure two coincidences can happen but then John Ourand of the Sports Business Journal tweeted a final coincidence. It turns out that the TV ratings system for the last 15 minutes of the game registered a solid 31.6.

So was this some type of divine intervention? probably not, but we’re almost positive that Tim Tebow is at home thanking god repeatedly for that 80 yard bomb in overtime that helped Denver upset the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In any case John 3:16 was the most searched Google term on Sunday and continues to be a hit among NFL and religious fans on Monday.
