Daniel Bryan Talks Potentially Facing Brock Lesnar At WrestleMania, Sting Vs. Triple H, And Paul Heyman
WWE superstar Daniel Bryan spoke with The Sun in the United Kingdom, and discussed his dream scenario for this year’s WrestleMania 31 which involves Brock Lesnar, Sting vs. Triple H, and what an incredible performer Paul Heyman is.
Bryan on Sting vs. Triple H:
“I think [Sting] will do very well [against Triple H.] But it will be interesting because there’s a lot of pressure in WWE. And he’s older now. Let’s see how he handles that kind of pressure, whether it is a WrestleMania match or doing something at the Royal Rumble. It has been a long time since he’s performed in front of a crowd that big.”
Bryan on what an incredible performer Paul Heyman is:
“Paul Heyman’s been an incredible performer for years and he’s been able to change and evolve with the way the business has evolved. To me, I feel like he’s very ahead of the curve. If you talk to Paul Heyman, he’s like a wrestling genius. He understands the fanbase, he knows what people want. He’s an amazing performer.”
Bryan on potentially facing Brock Lesnar in the main-event of WrestleMania 31:
“Literally, my ideal scenario for Sunday would be I win the Royal Rumble, Brock Lesnar retains his WWE World Heavyweight championship, and then we wrestle in the main-event of WrestleMania. That’s what I hope happens. It’ll be interesting to see what actually does happen.”
It seems that the match that WWE fans want to see be the main-event of WrestleMania 31 the most is Daniel Bryan vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Really, most WWE fans just want to see Bryan in the championship match, regardless of who it’s against.
There’s also many people who believe that the main-event of WrestleMania 31 will be either Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns, or Seth Rollins vs. Daniel Bryan — with Rollins entering both matches as champion of course.
Before he got hurt, Daniel Bryan was originally supposed to drop his WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam back in August. Bryan is still disappointed that an injury forced him to miss out on facing one of his dream opponents, but WWE could very well be planning on doing Bryan vs. Lesnar at WrestleMania, as Bryan is one of the favorites to win the Royal Rumble match on Sunday, and Lesnar — according to the betting odds — is the heavy favorite to walk out of the Royal Rumble as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
