2015 Super Bowl Ads: Victoria’s Secret Angels Play The Field [Video]
Victoria’s Secret is back in the game with their first Super Bowl commercial since 2008, with many fans of the lingerie company excited to see the VS Angels ad during the Patriots vs. Seahawks game on February 1. AdWeek states that a 30-second spot will be shown after the two-minute warning in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl XLIX.
If you can’t wait until February 1 to see the commercial, Victoria’s Secret released a “teaser” ad today (below) that will get you thinking — will the VS Angels stay suited up in football gear in the upcoming Super Bowl ad or will they be in skimpier attire?

Victoria’s Secret states that the commercial — titled “Don’t Drop the Ball” — features Angels Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Doutzen Kroes, Lily Aldridge, and Adam Levine‘s wife, Behati Prinsloo. The models are dressed in red uniforms and play against a team of faceless ladies in white. Of course, the Angels win, with Lima throwing multiple touchdowns in the 80-second spot.
Whether or not all five VS Angels will be featured during 30-second spot on Super Bowl Sunday is still unknown, but if the company’s last ad in 2008 is any indication, the Angels won’t be covered up in football uniforms for long. Chances are, they will be wearing some of the lingerie from their upcoming Valentine’s Day promotion.
Here’s a look at the 2008 Victoria’s Secret commercial that also carries a Valentine’s Day message. The 30-second spot features Adriana Lima, who has several other Super Bowl commercials to her credit, including 2012 Super Bowl ads for both Kia and Teleflora.
Super Bowl XLIX is less than two weeks away, with NFL fans gearing up to watch the Patriots and Seahawks play at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Many non-football fans will be tuning in as well — commercials and the half-time show make the Super Bowl it fun to watch, even if you don’t know the difference between a rush and a turnover.
This year, expect to see some great Super Bowl ads, including the funniest spots from Dorito’s Crash the Super Bowl contest, the famous Budweiser Clydesdales, the return of Danica Patrick as the GoDaddy girl, and many other commercials that will have you laughing, touch your heart, or, in the case of the Victoria’s Secret ad, make you want to run out and buy some lingerie.
