Jana Duggar Isn’t Afraid Of Being Single Forever: Jim Bob Is Just A Bad Husband Finder

Recent reports claim that Jana Duggar is “terrified” of spending her entire life as a single spinster, and there’s speculation that the 19 Kids and Counting star has no time to find a man because she’s too busy taking care of her younger siblings. However, there could be another explanation for Jana’s single status.

According to InTouch Weekly, Jana has actually said that she doesn’t mind being a sister-mom to her younger siblings. In fact, Jana can’t seem to get enough of being around kids — she visits children’s shelters because she loves to “help entertain and visit with the little ones there.”

Fashion & Style reports that Jana’s caretaker role doesn’t interfere with her ability to participate in numerous other activities. She listed a few of her favorite hobbies in her family’s book, The Duggars: 20 and Counting.

“I have lots of other interests too, including sewing, cooking and playing the piano, violin and harp. I also love doing friends’ and family members’ hair and I enjoy decorating and helping plan parties and political-campaign events.”

If Jana Duggar has enough spare time to do all of these things, then surely she has enough time for a courtship with a potential mate. The real problem facing the 25-year-old could be finding someone she actually wants to spend the rest of her life with.

During an interview with PEOPLE, Jim Bob Duggar revealed that he’s been working hard on finding a match for Jana Duggar. However, she just hasn’t been interested in any father-approved guys so far.

“There have been a lot of guys who have been interested in her,” Jim Bob revealed. “I have gone to hear about each one, and so far she hasn’t felt that is the way the Lord is leading.”

Based on what Jana told PEOPLE, she doesn’t have much faith in Jim Bob’s matchmaking skills. The oldest daughter revealed that she’s relying on a higher power to find her a husband.

“I just think for me I am just waiting and we’ll see,” Jana said. “When God brings that one along it will be his timing.”

Even if Jana Duggar does find a guy she’s interested in, it might be hard for her to leave the nest. She’s practically raised many of her brothers and sisters, so she’s just as attached to them as a mother is to her kids. She’d likely feel some degree of guilt if she ever left them.

Jana might also be reluctant to enter into a courtship because she doesn’t seem to enjoy being in the spotlight as much as sisters Jessa and Jill. This is evident by the fact that the married Duggar daughters both have social media accounts while Jana does not. If Jana ever did start courting a guy, she’d have a hard time avoiding unwanted attention.

Jana Duggar’s avoidance of social media recently paid off. As the Inquisitir previously reported, Jessa Duggar used Instagram to let her fans know that she attended an anti-abortion rally over the weekend. According to Hollywood Life, some 19 Kids and Counting fans were quick to express their outrage over Jessa’s stance on abortion.

According to the Duggar Family blog, Jana joined Jessa at the March for Life in Little Rock, Arkansas. However, she avoided a similar backlash because she didn’t crow about her participation on a social media site. Jill Duggar skipped the rally altogether, opting instead to enjoy a date night with husband Derick Dillard.
