Harry Styles Records A Duet With Meghan Trainor: Are They Dating?
“All About That Bass” hitmaker Meghan Trainor is about to make girls all over the country green with envy after revealing that she has recorded a duet with One Direction heart-throb Harry Styles. The Mirror reports that Meghan has told the Sun that Harry Styles joined her in the studio to record a song called “Someday Maybe.”
Meghan was clearly thrilled to be working with One Direction star Harry and said
“It’s real! It’s a duet. It’s a beautiful song we wrote together on my ukulele. We even recorded a rough demo together with our vocals together. It’s a cute acoustic love thing.”
RTE reports that Meghan had told the Sun that she was a little concerned about Harry’s skill as a songwriter. The 21-year old went on to explain how their collaboration came about, She said.
“It’s one of the first cool things I got to do with a pop star. A friend of mine said Harry Styles was a fan and said he would love to write with me.”
“He’s an incredible writer, too. I was worried he’d just be a 20-year-old boy. So I walked in with a prepared verse and chorus. But he gave me very poetic, mature lyrics. I was like, ‘Well, damn, Harry, you know what love is.”
Meghan should perhaps have known better. After all hunky Harry hardly lack experience in the dating game. Whilst on the X Factor and aged just 17 harry was dating Caroline Flack who was in her 30’s. Harry has something of a reputation as a lothario having dated the likes of Kendall Jenner. Perhaps his most high-profile relationship came when he courted Taylor Swift for several months at the end of 2012.
In recent weeks there have been rumors that Harry has been dating Victoria’s Secret model Nadine Leopold and Emma Watson. Harry may be just 21-years-old but, when it comes to love, what he lacks in years he more than makes up for in experience.
It seems that there is no spark of romance between Meghan and Harry however. MTV reports that Meghan denied any romantic attachment saying
“No, definitely not – we’re good friends but I adore all the One Direction boys. Every time I meet them I’m like, ‘Hi, you’re all perfect’. But they’re One Direction. And I’m just a girl from Massachusetts. Plus, I can’t date another pop star. They’re all too busy.”
Unfortunately for both Harry and Meghan’s fans it seems that the duet may never be released. We think that would be a shame. What do Inquisitr readers think?
