Teresa Giudice Gets First Visit From Family In Jail: Joe Giudice And Daughters Head To Danbury

Teresa Giudice got a very special visit from her husband and her daughters this past weekend. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star was apparently supposed to see her family last weekend, but a source tells Us Weekly that the girls had too many activities scheduled, and Teresa wanted them to keep their plans — to keep things as normal as possible for them while she’s away. This weekend, however, the family was reunited, even if it was just for a short time.

“This was the first time Teresa, 42, got to see her family since she reported to Danbury, Connecticut’s Federal Correctional Institution on Jan. 5, for her 15-month sentence,” reports Us Weekly.

It is unknown if all four of Teresa’s daughters went to visit her, but it is presumed so.

Teresa Giudice is supposedly doing really well with the adjustment. Now two weeks into her sentence, sources say that Teresa has come to terms with prison life the best that she can. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, her lawyer spoke out last week, and said that his client was doing okay behind bars, and that she felt as though everyone was being respectful towards her.

“She’s doing great. I got a series of emails from her and she is doing phenomenally. It seems like she is getting acclimated very well. She tells me that everybody is nice and everybody is treating her respectfully. She said both the staff and the inmates are being nice to her and that she is getting along fine,” said Teresa’s lawyer.

In many ways, Teresa Giudice is very lucky. Not only did she get a sentence on the shorter side, but she’s also in a minimum security prison, where she isn’t confined to a tiny cell for the majority of her days. According to Radar Online, Teresa is keeping busy the best she can. Sources say that Tre has been working out, and that has kept her mind occupied from time to time.

“She’s doing great. People are being very nice to her,” shared a source, adding that she definitely misses her daughters.

It is unknown how frequently Joe will bring the girls to see their mom, but Teresa had previously said she was expecting them once a week. Of course, that will change depending on what the girls have going on for activities, but they will see their mom several times over the next 12 months, no question.
