The “ Raw Reunion ” set for tonight’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw is getting bigger all the time. With the NWO set to reunite and the founding members of DX also scheduled to be in attendance, anything can happen. Now, it appears as if there will be two tag teams from the WWE Attitude era that will also have their own little reunions.
The WWE attitude era was one that revitalized the company and brought WWE back to the top of the wrestling game. Tag team wrestling was a huge part of that time period, and two of the biggest teams were the New Age Outlaws and the APA.
WrestleZone reported that both teams could very well show up on the “Raw Reunion” show. Billy Gunn has been confirmed and Road Dogg is a backstage agent for WWE so one of the most successful teams in wrestling history could be back together.
John Bradshaw Layfield, formerly known as just Bradshaw, will be attendance as a Raw announcer, of course, and it’s been confirmed that Ron Simmons will be there as well. This could mean that the APA will once again stand side-by-side.
Rumors persist that the APA could be the first non-jobber tag team that The Ascension step into the ring with. It might not be for a match, but seeing the two teams across from one another will be a true moment.
A lumberjack match has also been reported by the official website for the American Airlines Arena, where the “ Raw Reunion ” will take place. Seth Rollins will take on John Cena in a match surrounded by more than 30 lumberjacks, but it could end up being a dark match.
The highly anticipated episode of Raw will feature Hulk Hogan, Jimmy Hart, Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Ric Flair, and a host of others. Sean “ X-Pac ” Waltman has also been confirmed for the show by EWrestlingNews .
With Hogan, Hall, and Nash together on the show, that will reunite the original members of the NWO. Triple H and Shawn Michaels together reunites the original members of DX. Could the two factions face off or will the members of The Kliq come together for an even bigger reunion.
While the “Raw Reunion” is all about former factions and teams coming together, there will be a lot of iconic and legendary names showing back up.
That then offers up the question – Will Sting show up at the “Raw Reunion?” If so, it would be his first WWE appearance since his debut at Survivor Series back in November, but it’s possible that the Vigilante could show up and work his way into WrestleMania 31 .
