Justin Bieber And Selena Gomez Met Up For Dinner: The Heart Wants What It Wants?
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber stepped out for dinner in Beverly Hills on Thursday night.
The heart wants what it wants?
Whatever it is, TMZ reports the Latina starlet and the Calvin Klein model dined at Mastros Steakhouse, left in Justin’s same car, and drove back to the starlet’s West Hollywood hotel.
It is reported the pair sat outside the hotel chatting for around 20 minutes, before Selena joined a girlfriend who was waiting and went with her into the hotel.
As might be imagined, young fans from both stars’ camps are up in arms over the surprise meet-up and want to know if it means a reunion is on the cards.
That’s the $64,000,000 question: Was Justin and Selena’s dinner date romantic, or simply a meal between two people whose romance is over but are likely still friends?
Despite all the drama over the Disney alum’s autobiographical torch song “THWWIW,” it seems the pair still have time for each other.
Some are now suggesting Jelena’s night out nixes recent talk of Selena dating producer-DJ Zedd, while others were never convinced it was an authentic, intimate relationship in the first place.
After they were seen holding hands at Golden Globes after- parties, E! News reported one insider said Zedd and the pop princess were seeing each other, but said others insist they are just working together.
Over at fan fiction central — otherwise known as HollywoodLife.com — they’ve practically got Selena married off to Zedd, amid running fantastical stories claiming Justin is “furious” and “threatened” over Zedd and other supposed “love triangle” issues and backlash from allegedly “disappointed” friends.
Meanwhile, despite Bieber’s repeated statements that he is single, OK! magazine claims he is planning to whisk longtime pal Hailey Baldwin away for Valentine’s Day.
We’ll wait and see on that one.
Justin and Selena first began dating in 2010, before going public at the Vanity Fair Oscars party in February 2011. A split in 2012 kicked off countless reunions and breakups. Their most recent, saw the former couple ice each other out an airport at the end of September, just before an estranged Paris Fashion Week trip.
Fast forward to Selena’s interview with radio host Ryan Seacrest in November, the starlet claimed she is still close to Justin and that she would always “support him.”
On the basis of that, there doesn’t appear to be anything out of the ordinary about the pair having dinner two months later, the day before Selena was then seen in Atlanta, Georgia, where she is about to begin shooting The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving with actor Paul Rudd.
Then again; the heart wants what the heart wants.
