Yamisha Thomas: Phenix City, Alabama, Murder To Air On TV One’s ‘Fatal Attraction’
TV One’s Fatal Attraction will be airing the murder case of Yamisha Thomas, aka Yamisha Brown Thomas, a beautiful mother who was found strangled to death in a shallow grave in Phenix City, Alabama, in 2011. Police say that Yamisha Thomas, also known as “Toot,” had not only been strangled, but the killer had poured wet cement all over her body before dumping it and pulling a mattress over the body to hide the makeshift grave, according to the Ledger-Enquirer.
The only thing visible at the time police found the body was a partial foot that had been found sticking up out from under the mattress. The case shook the small town of Phenix City, and the man responsible for her savage death was her boyfriend, Sylvester Davis.
On the hit documentary show, Yamisha Thomas’ tragic story will be told through reenactments and through interviews with people close to the case.
The pretty African-American woman had been missing for several weeks, before police were able to trace that she was last seen with Sylvester Davis, a man with whom she had been living in the months prior to her death.
Sylvester Davis denied knowing anything about Yamisha’s disappearance. In fact, he seemed as if he was deeply concerned for her well-being. He participated in the community’s search for her. He rode around town with Yamisha’s brothers to help locate her — knowing fully well that he was the person responsible for her death. At the time, know one knew that he was involved.
Once police were able to find witnesses who had seen Yamisha Thomas with Sylvester Davis just hours before she disappeared, they knew they had their man. The only thing left for investigators to do was prove it. Police got their break after a friend of Sylvester Davis came forward to tell police that he had not only helped Sylvester Davis move the missing woman’s pretty red Chevy, but he could also lead detectives directly to the shallow grave where her remains were buried.
After a lengthy investigation with phone records to back up police evidence, Sylvester Davis was arrested and charged with Yamisha’s murder. A jury sentenced him to life in prison.

The issue of domestic violence in relationships is an ongoing problem in every single community and culture. If you know anyone who is going though domestic abuse, report it. Report it to the police or even the victim’s family members to make them anonymously aware of the danger their loved one might be in. Just yesterday, the Inquisitr reported on the death of another domestic-related murder involving Delithro Bell, a Texas dad who gunned down his wife, Mechelle Hall Bell, in the street before turning the gun on himself.
