The stars are reacting to the 2015 Oscar nominations . In the age of social media, we no longer have to wait until entertainment shows air the taped reactions. Instead, we can see who’s reacting to what and how in real time.
As the Inquisitr reported, the nominations were announced by actor Chris Pine, Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences president Cheryl Boone Isaacs, director Alfonso Cuaron, and director J.J. Abrams. Out of the nominations, The Grand Budapest Hotel and Birdman lead the way with nine nominations, and Boyhood continues to dominate the entire season.
Some of the major acting contenders took to Twitter to show their gratitude and excitement.

No Ava DuVernay. No Angelina Jolie. Another year of all men nominated for Best Director. Sigh. #OscarsNoms #Oscars

Eddie Redmayne, who is nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role for The Theory of Everything , made a statement via Focus Features.
“I’m so incredibly honored to be recognized by the Academy, and even more thrilled to share this honor with the entire family of filmmakers, cast, and crew of ‘The Theory of Everything.’ This role was a once in a lifetime experience. Congratulations to my fellow nominees, thank you to the Academy, and thank you most of all to Stephen and Jane Hawking.”
Emma Stone, nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Birdman , was obviously very excited in the statement she released.
“Well, this is surreal. I am completely knocked out. Thank you to the Academy for this incredible honor. I am very proud and lucky to be a part of Birdman and can’t believe it came to this. I am so f–king excited. Are you allowed to say f–k when you’re making a statement for the Oscars? I’m just really f–king excited.”
