Ian Somerhalder And Nikki Reed Engaged, Ready For Summer Wedding?
Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed’s relationship is reaching new levels. The Vampire Diaries star and his actress girlfriend are allegedly engaged and planning a summer wedding.
According to Hollywood Life, rumors that Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed were considering marriage have been swirling for months. However, when Ian and Nikki stepped out on the Golden Globes red carpet, fans noticed that Reed was sporting a gorgeous diamond ring on her hand.
Does this mean that Ian and Nikki are ready to tie the knot? Ever since the couple began dating, they’ve seemed happier than ever, and after Somerhalder’s split with his Vampire Diaries co-star Nina Dobrev, it’s nice to see him smiling again.
If Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed are engaged, they’ve decided to keep it under wraps for now, the new issue of In Touch Weekly reports.
“Nikki said she wears the ring on her right hand because they want to keep it quiet for now. They mentioned a June date, they are really excited.”
This could be the ring that Ian and Nikki were reportedly shopping for around Christmas, as the couple were spotted checking out jewelry during a day date.
“They were absolutely adorable and you could tell they are very much in love. Nikki was pointing out items for Ian and vice versa. They looked at some engagement rings, including a 14K. gold diamond slice halo ring and an 18K. gold green halo diamond ring — both designed by Livin, and an 18K. large chocolate diamond ring by White Cloud.”
It seems that the couple could be keeping their rumored engagement a secret because of Somerhalder’s ex, Nina Dobrev. Nina and Ian have had some serious bad blood between them, since Somerhalder began dating Reed and started bringing her to The Vampire Diaries set.
The co-stars haven’t been the same since, and it’s been causing some serious tension on set, which many fans worried could end the show prematurely. Thankfully, the series was renewed by the CW for another season.
The feud has gotten so bad that Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed have been totally ignoring Nina Dobrev when they run in to each other in public. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the trio ran into one another at a Golden Globes after party and avoided each other like the plague.
Hopefully, Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed can live happily ever after, and Nina Dobrev can find a way to be happy for her former boyfriend.
