Everyone has been waiting for this day, and now the complete list of nominations for the 2015 Academy Awards has been released. The Oscar leaders and snubs were announced in Los Angeles on Thursday morning, and some may be surprised as Birdman and The Grand Budapest Hotel lead the way with most nominations.

According to the Washington Post , Grand Budapest and Birdman each had nine nominations , and some believe Selma was the biggest snub. It landed in the category for best picture, but only got one other nomination and it was for best song.
The Imitation Game is right behind the leaders as it had eight nominations, but no other films landed seven. Boyhood and American Sniper each had six nominations, while Whiplash , Interstellar , and The Theory of Everything each had five.
On Thursday morning, MTV News let it be known that Chris Pine and director J.J. Abrams announced the nominations for the 2015 Academy Awards along with director Alfonso Cuaron. The trio announced them on a live stream for everyone to witness each category separately.
