Police Still Searching For Hello Kitty Robbery Suspect
According to FOX23, Tulsa police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at an East Tulsa pharmacy.
At just around 5 a.m. on Wednesday, witnesses say a man walked into the Walgreens near 31st Street and Garnett in Tulsa, with what appeared to be a shotgun inside a Hello Kitty duffel bag.
Police say the man immediately threatened some of the employees, but then saw a customer on the phone. Officers believe the man probably thought the customer on the phone calling 911.
The suspect was only in the store for less than a minute, before becoming scared and fleeing from the scene, taking his weapon and Hello Kitty bag along with him.
FOX23 reports that the Walgreens employees then watched the man trip over a shopping cart in the parking lot as he was running from the scene.
Unfortunately, the description of the suspect is limited, due to the now infamous Hello Kitty bag. And as previously reported, Hello Kitty can be both distracting and confusing. In fact, Hello Kitty is not even a cat.
Police are also saying that since the man was wearing a hooded-sweatshirt, it’s likely that even surveillance video will not provide much help.
