Chipotle Fans, Do You Want A Free Burrito? Here’s How You Can Get One This Month!
Over the past five years, Americans have altered their social eating habits until fast food and dine-in are no longer the norms. Thanks to restaurants that have the substance and taste of dine-in with the speed and efficiency of fast food, “fast casual” now sets the standard on what the social outing at a eatery should be. The Inquisitr reported on the success of fast casual restaurants and all they do to attract new customers while keeping their regulars. Panera Bread appealed to the organic-only crowd by removing 86 food additives from their menu items. Five Guys kept their options both simple and clean, and the chain was voted the best burger joint in 2012 according to the results of a survey.
However, if there is one fast casual restaurant that is constantly making the news, it is Chipotle. From their “scarecrow” organic campaign to their gun bans at their restaurants, Chipotle has been reported a multitude of times by many news outlets. Now, Chipotle is in the news again, and their fans will want to read this. Chipotle will be giving away free burritos this month!
The above sounds like a sweet deal right? Generally, most “free offers” from restaurants, retail, and other businesses centered on customers service always have a catch. Get ten meal punches on a restaurant card to get a free sub. Buy one, get one free. The list goes on. Chipotle is no different. According to Huffington Post, customers have to purchase an entree off the Sofritas menu on Monday, January the 26th. They bring back the receipt between January 27th to February 28th to get their free burrito. However, if a customer isn’t a fan of burritos, substitutions for a bowl, salad or taco are allowed.
Summarized, the free burrito (bowl, salad, or taco) is just part of Chipotle’s promotional campaign for their new Sofritas. Chipotle’s official website has a page dedicated to the new menu item, described as follows.
“What goes in to making our Sofritas? We start with organic tofu from Hodo Soy that we shred and then braise with chipotle chilis, roasted poblanos, and a blend of aromatic spices. The result is a delicious, spicy tofu that will give vegans and carnivores something they both will love.”
That’s right! Sofritas are Chipotle’s vegan option! Not just that, Chipotle makes sure to stay within their personal mantra of using natural ingredients. The soy they use is from Hodo Soy, a company that makes gluten-free, non-GMO, organic soy. Hodo Soy also promises customers will taste the difference in their soy made from organic soybeans compared to soy made from GMO-soybeans.
