WWE: Brock Lesnar Will Be Sent Back To ‘Fake Wrestling’ If He Does UFC Again, Says Brendan Schaub

Although rumors of Brock Lesnar’s UFC career have been revived in 2015, the Beast still continues to send John Cena into the mat with those German suplexes. But MMA fighter Brendan Schaub claims that if Lesnar does return, then he’ll be sent packing back to that “fake wrestling.”

In a related report by the Inquisitr, it’s rumored that Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman may split in the coming weeks as part of the story line leading up to WrestleMania 31. Kurt Angle also had some harsh words for Heyman following a recent Monday Night RAW promo.

If Brock Lesnar does come back to the octagon, then someone with UFC heavyweight credentials like Brendan Schaub makes sense. The fighter has a record of 10-5 MMA, 6-5 UFC while Lesnar’s UFC record stands at 5-3 MMA, 4-3 UFC. The difference is that Lesnar has been gone from the UFC for years and Schaub said on The Jason Ellis Show that he does not believe that Lesnar’s time in pro wrestling will help him very much at all.

“Listen, doing fake wrestling is not the same as being in the UFC… You’re playing grab-ass. You know if you’re going to win or lose. Yeah, it’s hard on your body. Great. He hasn’t been competing and training like I have. If he comes back to the UFC, I would 100 percent send him packing back to the fake wrestling.”

The biggest issue with Brock Lesnar’s UFC record is that he was not in peak physical shape, despite managing to compete at UFC championship levels. Lesnar’s health issues plagued him during his time in the UFC and, in 2009, he underwent surgery for diverticulitis. Lesnar has since seen a great improvement in his health, and Paul Heyman says it’s possible he’s physically better than before.

Schaub does admit that Brock Lesnar could be successful again in the UFC, but also claims the Beast won’t be able treat him like John Cena.

“I think what he does, he’ll still be very successful… He’s so damn big and a very talented wrestler. There’s just not that many big, explosive guys who are athletic like he is. So, he’s always going to be successful. I don’t think… If you’re Brock Lesnar, why come to the UFC when you can fake it in the WWE?”

Brandon Schaub also seemed to indicate that he plans on getting in line to take on Brock Lesnar, saying, “Sign me up, man.”
