‘RHONJ’ Season 7 On Hold Until Teresa Giudice Returns Home From Prison?
RHONJ Season 7 may not happen until Teresa Giudice returns home from prison. According to a new report by TMZ, Bravo is on the verge of putting the series on hold because they feel it will suffer without Giudice.
“Bravo is seriously considering shelving ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey‘ until Teresa gets sprung… they think she’s THAT important to the success of the show.”
As the Inquisitr reported earlier this month, the network has been holding focus groups to help decide what their best plan of action will be in regard to RHONJ Season 7.
“Bravo execs have been holding meetings and they’re ‘strongly leaning’ in the direction of putting the show on ice, because without Teresa it’s boring. Bravo is worried a bad season could tank the show, and it’s just safer to wait. This is not sitting well with the rest of the cast. Bruised egos aside, the women are pissed at the prospect of not pulling in a paycheck for more than a year. Teresa, who has a conflict with virtually every other ‘housewife’ on the show, can almost certainly use this turn of events to her financial advantage. It’s pretty basic… the more the network needs you, the more you make.”
Earlier this week, a source discussed Bravo’s focus groups in an interview with Radar Online, claiming the series could possibly be canceled ahead of RHONJ Season 7.
“Bravo is busy conducting focus groups to determine if there is even any interest from viewers in the New Jersey franchise. Teresa and Joe’s legal issues brought a very dark cloud to the show. This past season, Teresa was on her best behavior for obvious reasons. The dynamic among the ladies changed because of Teresa holding back, and it got boring. Having Jacqueline Laurita come back to film scenes after filming for the season had already concluded, was a big sign that the show was in big trouble ratings wise.”
At the time, Radar‘s source claimed Bravo was not jumping at the chance to work with Giudice and her family.
“Producers have reached out to all of the ladies with the exception of Teresa, because she is now in prison. There is no interest in having Joe and their daughters on the show. No one has begun filming for RHONJ. The future of the RHONJ is clearly in jeopardy, as there hasn’t been any talk about beginning anytime soon.”
Bravo has yet to release a statement regarding RHONJ Season 7.
