Aviva Drescher Blames ‘RHONY’ For Marital Issues Even Though She Wanted Back On Bravo

Aviva Drescher was fired from The Real Housewives of New York last season, after being very aggressive during the season finale. She detached her leg and it tossed across the room during Sonja Morgan’s party. Aviva claims that this leg-throwing incident caused this episode to be the highest-rated episode of the season, but she was fired by producers after the season wrapped.

Like Jill Zarin, Aviva Drescher decided to bash The Real Housewives of New York after being fired. Aviva joined Marriage Boot Camp and blamed the hit Bravo show for her marital troubles. While filming for Bravo, Drescher never hinted that something was wrong in her marriage, so many felt that she was just using Marriage Boot Camp to extend her 15 minutes of fame.

According to a new tweet, Aviva Drescher is now being accused of slamming The Real Housewives of New York, as she blamed the show completely for her marital issues. The blame was discussed on Twitter as the show premiered. Several people noticed that Drescher appeared rather unthankful for her role on the show that made her famous and got her a book deal.

“Well then maybe she shouldn’t be bad mouthing #RHONY and blaming them for her problems,” one person noted after someone came to her defense, saying that Aviva had probably thanked Bravo for her personal success.

“Didn’t bash #RHONY. Gr8ful 2 Bravo for the opprtnty. Social Media PIA. Case in point!” Aviva Drescher wrote back, saying that she didn’t bash The Real Housewives of New York, even though she did openly blame the show for her marital problems with Reid Drescher.

“I look at being a Housewife as a job to entertain people, and, you know, it was a piece of the entertainment. The highest ratings of the entire season was that episode,” Aviva Drescher has revealed about her role on the show, adding, “You start the season, you get one salary, and that’s that, and you know, I just feel an obligation to earn my keep. You know, I got a certain salary, and I was there, and I was asked to be dramatic. We know they love that, and I tried my best.”

It is interesting to note that Drescher had hoped for a role on Season 7. In addition, according to the Inquisitr, Aviva supposedly only threw the leg in hopes of being asked back to the show and with the goal of getting a raise from Bravo. If The Real Housewives of New York had really been such a big issue in her marriage, it is hard to imagine that she would choose reality fame over her husband.
