Harry Styles Might Act In Movies, Zayn Malik Hooks Up With Naughty Boy: Trouble For 1D?
Harry Styles and Zayn Malik are finding work and getting job offers that don’t involve the other members of One Direction. So could this be bad news for the band?
According to Digital Spy, movie producer Harvey Weinstein really wants Harry to try his hand at acting. Weinstein recently told the Sun that he thinks Styles would make a great movie star because he’s a “dashing rogue” who is “fun-loving” and “spirited.”
“There’s no question he will enter the movie business. I get from him that he wants to. When you meet him, he’s super-charismatic… I’ve met him two or three times and he was very interested and charming. I think the guy is a movie star.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Harry Styles is also a regular Leonardo DiCaprio — he’s currently dating a gorgeous Victoria’s Secret model named Nadine Leopold, so he already has some amazing arm candy for his first movie premiere.
During an interview with the Daily Mail, Harvey Weinstein revealed that he tried to offer Harry Styles a role in the movie Tulip Fever. Styles could have learned a lot about the art of acting by working alongside costars Christoph Waltz, Judi Dench, and Zach Galifianakis. He had to turn the role down because he was set to be on tour with One Direction during filming, but Weinstein seems pretty determined to make Harry the next Errol Flynn.
One Direction fans have good reason to be worried if Styles ever takes up Weinstein’s offer to star in a movie. Some stars like Mark Wahlberg and Will Smith pretty much left their music careers behind when they started doing movies, and Harry might break up One Direction by deciding to do the same thing. The Inquisitr previously reported that the band’s current contract with Simon Cowell’s SyCo group expires at the end of 2015, so Harry Styles might decide to embrace other opportunities in 2016.
There are also rumors that Zayn Malik is uncomfortable with how famous One Direction is, and he’s tired of the group’s grueling schedule — the singer allegedly wants a less hectic life that allows him to spend more time with fiance Perrie Edwards. Zayn might also choose to do his own thing after the band’s contract expires, and it looks like he’s already befriended another musician who can help him take his career in a new direction.
According to Unreality TV, Zayn has become good pals with British music producer Naughty Boy. The duo previously worked together co-writing a song titled “One Chance To Dance” that was meant for One Direction’s Four album. The track wasn’t used, but the rejection didn’t turn Malik off of Naughty Boy’s music. In fact, he’s such a big fan of the musician’s sound that he recently hit the studio with his old friend again.

There’s no word on what the guys are working on, but Unreality TV reports that the collaboration is making some One Direction fans nervous about Zayn Malik’s future with 1D.
