TIm Tebow vs Kyle Orton, Who Will Persevere?
When the Denver Broncos put Kyle Orton on waivers to make Tim Tebow their starting quarterback, I am sure no one thought it would come down to this. Kyle Orton was claimed by the Kansas City Chiefs (who will definitely not be going to the playoffs) even though he had proven through the off season that he was by far the better of the two quarterbacks. Tebow, who some consider the most over-hyped quarterback in uniform, was put in to bring the team to glory.
It seems as if it all comes, ironically down to this. If the Denver Broncos beat The Kansas City Chiefs today they are going to the playoffs. If they lose, they are going home. Tebow has made believers out of a lot of his critics. His fourth quarter comebacks are the stuff that movies are made of.
While this not be a movie it is sure playing out like one. Kyle Orton, run out of town by the lunacy surrounding Tebow, has a chance to come back to Denver and end his former team’s chances of seeing the playoffs.
Then Again, Tebow has a chance to make believers out of everyone. Over-hyped, trashed by the critics and on the brink, has a chance to bring a team that was supposed ot be in transition, into the playoffs.
There is a new word these days in the English Language, and it is called “Tebowing”. It is the process of getting down on one knee and praying before going into a situation where you hope to emerge victorious. SOme make fun of it, some find it inspirational. All we know for sure is Denver fans will be doing plenty of it come Sunday!
