If Demi Lovato has her way, she’ll be sporting a big rock on her ring finger before the year is over. The pop star reportedly wants her boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama, to pop the question soon.
Demi has made no secret of her desire to lead a healthier life, both emotionally and physically, in 2015. She frequently posts about her fitness regime and healthy eating on her social media accounts. While she shares less of her love life, that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t has big hopes for that part of her life as well. OK! Magazine reported that besides getting her body and brain in order, Demi also wants to get engaged .
According to a source, Lovato has told people that she wants her boyfriend to take the relationship to the next level. A source told OK! Magazine the following.
“No one will be shocked if the two of them were to get engaged soon, as she’s stated several times she wants it to happen in 2015.”
Apparently, Demi’s push to get fit isn’t just for her own well-being either. The source shared that Demi is working hard so that she has “the kind of body that would never make Wilmer want to look at another girl again.”
Lately, Demi Lovato has been opening up with the public more about her relationship with Wilmer Valderrama, signaling that she believes this relationship is the real deal. The two first started dating in 2010.
In late December 2014, Lovato released the music video for her single “Nightingale.” Valderrama makes a brief appearance towards the end of the video, in which they embrace and kiss. Clearly, she thinks of him as one of her saviors, or nightingales.
During her interview with Fitness magazine a few weeks prior, Demi credited Wilmer with preventing her from relapsing into an eating disorder and going back to rehab in 2013.
“It’s been difficult. I almost went back to rehab for my eating disorder last summer. I was obsessing over food and terrified of it at the same time. Wilmer noticed and called me out on it, which was a relief.”
In December, Demi also shared a photo of Wilmer kissing her . She declared him to be “perfect.”
The year is certainly starting out right for Demi Lovato and her relationship with Wilmer Valderrama. Just a few days after the new year, Demi tweeted that “life couldn’t be better right now.”
