‘Celebrity Apprentice’ Kate Gosselin Strikes Gold With New TLC Show And Millionaire Boyfriend [Video]

It’s a bird…it’s a plane…no, it’s Kate Gosselin flying high on success! The divorced mom of eight is currently starring in Celebrity Apprentice while prepping for a new season of her TLC show. Add in a millionaire boyfriend, and Gosselin seems to have laid the golden egg, reported Us Weekly.

Jeff Prescott charmed Kate into a date after the two had known each other as casual friends for more than 12 months, said an insider. He has three children.

“Jeff and Kate have known each other for over a year,” said the source.

He has not met the eight children, however, but Jeff did earn pre-approval by getting Christmas gifts for all the kids.

Now 39, Gosselin has watched her life played out on TV screens and in tabloids as a result of her TLC shows Jon & Kate Plus Eight and Kate Plus Eight.

But she has no desire to halt the attention that has resulted from bringing up eight little Gosselins. The family’s reality show Kate Plus 8 is scheduled to return to TLC at 9 p.m. Jan. 13, according to the Morning Call.

The new season of the show will highlight the antics of nine-year-old sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel. Twins Mady and Cara are now 13-years-old, and they made it clear that they consider themselves adults on the special editions of Kate Plus 8 that TLC tested in June.

Although the show is missing the tension between Jon Gosselin and Kate that added drama to the original Jon & Kate Plus 8, TLC made the decision to re-launch it without him after the couple divorced. At that time, Kate Plus 8 did not do well in ratings, and thus was cancelled in 2011 until its comeback in the summer.

When it comes to feeding that family of eight, Gosselin has been known for her coupon-clipping ways, telling Woman’s Day that although she believes in thrift and budget meals, she also goes organic when she can. But when it comes to making school lunches, Kate says simple is essential.

“I make eight lunches every morning, and I try to mix it up from day to day. I’m a big believer in whole grains, so I do a lot of sandwiches on whole-wheat bread: They love easy stuff like peanut butter–and-jelly and ham-and-cheese.”

How does that type of lunch fit into the current school lunch standards established by First Lady Michelle Obama? As the Inquisitr reported, she’s emphasized avoiding sugar and junk food in order to reverse rates of childhood obesity. So as long as Kate goes for the natural jam made without sugar, those Gosselin lunch buckets just might get the Presidential seal of approval.

As for Jon’s view on it all? When he appeared on VH1’s Couples Therapy, he talked about the marriage.

“[The] marriage was very non-affectionate. It was just kind of like ten years of a business transaction.”

Jon addressed the rumors that he was waiting on tables, as well as provided his real views on Kate, when he visited Wendy Williams’ talk show, below.

Meanwhile, in contrast, Kate also is still going strong on Celebrity Apprentice. Thus far, she has raised $40,000 for charity, while Keshia Knight Pulliam, Gilbert Gottfried and Kevin Jonas have been fired.
