Kelly Bensimon Is Returning To ‘RHONY’ To Hash Out Drama With Bethenny Frankel
Will Kelly Bensimon be a part of The Real Housewives of New York City‘s seventh season? According to a new report, Bravo has brought Bensimon back in an effort to stir up drama with the also-returning Bethenny Frankel.
“Producers want to bring Kelly back so she and Bethenny can come face-to-face with each other,” a Real Housewives of New York City insider told Life & Style on January 7. “They want a dramatic confrontation over Kelly getting close last year with Bethenny’s ex, Jason Hoppy, and her daughter Bryn.”
A confrontation between Bensimon and Frankel “would definitely spice things up,” an insider explained.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kelly Bensimon was recently in Miami with The Real Housewives of New York City‘s Ramona Singer and Bethenny Frankel.
“Bethenny Frankel isn’t the only Real Housewives of New York star hitting the beaches of Miami this week. Ramona Singer and former co-star Kelly Bensimon also threw on their best bikinis and posed for photographers,” Reality Tea reported. “Kelly and Ramona were spotted all over, both donning their skimpiest swimwear and looking like they were having a lot of fun together.”
After initially denying reports of a return to The Real Housewives of New York City, Kelly Bensimon’s former co-star, Frankel, confirmed, via her official website, she would be back for season seven.
“After many years of hesitation, I have decided to return to my roots on ‘The Real Housewives of New York City.’ I have been through a long and arduous road since my departure, and I’m finally coming out on the other side. It finally feels right to go home again.”
Frankel continued on, claiming she once felt television was no longer for her.
“After my talk show ended, I really had doubts about ever going back to television. I’ve been through a lot personally, and I wasn’t sure I wanted to expose myself to any more public scrutiny. That said, I’ve been so fortunate to be able to connect with the audience and inspire them to fulfill their wildest dreams. I learned a lot about myself through that experience. I really need to be able to express myself freely and creatively; I like when no two days are the same, and I don’t thrive when being filtered or edited.”
Kelly Bensimon, along with Jill Zarin and Alex McCord, was fired from The Real Housewives of New York City after the series’ fourth season.
