Watch As Bill Gates Drinks Human Poop Transformed Into Something Tasty!

Bill Gates, the genius mind behind Microsoft, has been far more active in social and political issues as of late. The Inquisitr has reported on the latest news pertaining to Gates’ progressive endeavors for a better world after his time trying to perfect the computer operating system. One of Gates’ serious endeavors was providing low-cost birth control for developing countries. After that, Gates pursued a more social act of humanitarianism by being a “Secret Santa” to a Reddit user, giving the user a “Christmas Miracle.”

Now, Bill Gates is back on innovating tech for developing countries again, and it resulted in something no sane person would ever do: drink human poop. Sounds disgusting, right? However, the human poop was actually transformed into something tasty: a glass of delicious drinking water.

According to Laughing Squid, Bill Gates drank a glass of water processed from human feces by the Janicki Omniprocessor, a machine designed to turn human waste into drinking water, electricity, and ash. Jointly developed by Janicki Bioenergy and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, its goal is to provide the three outputs described earlier to developing nations.

Bill Gates himself provided a more personal account on his blog on Gates Notes. In it, Bill writes about watching piles of feces going up a conveyor belt, dropped into a large bin, making its way through the machine, being treated by removing the water from the human feces, then water purification just before tasting. Afterwards, Bill Gates gave a personal approval through the following statement.

“The water tasted as good as any I’ve had out of a bottle. And having studied the engineering behind it, I would happily drink it every day. It’s that safe.”

Bill Gates even provides a valid reason why anyone would want to turn waste into drinking water and electricity. At least 2 billion people use toilets that aren’t drained properly. Others simply defecate out in the open, which leads to an array of horrific consequences, such as diseases and and poor sanitation. Said consequences are estimated to kill about 700,000 children every single year. Others who do survive the nasty conditions never fully develop mentally and physically.

The Janicki Omniprocessor is just the initial step in providing a better way for supply the world with water and electricity. Bill Gates made it clear it may take many years before the innovative invention is used around the world. Let’s hope that many years translates to just a couple, because if the machine can deliver what was shown in the video on a grand scale (metropolitan cities for example), the Janicki Omniprocessor may be the answer to the upcoming clean water shortage and energy crisis.
