Alexa Ray Joel Shares Bikini Pictures Alongside 60-Year-Old Mom Christie Brinkley

Alexa Ray Joel rang in 2015 by showing off her impeccable genes, with the budding singer sharing pictures of herself and ageless mom Christie Brinkley lounging in bikinis.

The mother and daughter pair spent the new year on a tropical vacation at Turks and Caicos, where they partied with a group of friends. Along the way, Alexa and her mom showed off plenty of pictures of their adventures, including some shots of 60-year-old mother Christie Brinkley enjoying the sun.

“I’m in heaven,” Brinkley wrote on Instagram.

Alexa Ray Joel, who also celebrated her 29th birthday on December 29, is taking a break from her busy singing schedule. The daughter of Billy Joel has been performing for the last decade, but recently broke through with a two-week stint at the Café Carlyle earlier this year.

Alexa has also made headlines beyond her career. In June, she collapsed on stage during a performance and was rushed to the hospital. Doctors diagnosed her with vasovagal syncope, an ultimately harmless conditions that restricts blood flow to the brain.

Alexa has also been surrounded by plastic surgery rumors. Us Magazine noted last year that Alexa’s “angular jawline, flawless skin, and sultry pout were a far cry from the beaming preteen many remember.”

Alexa Ray Joel spoke out, admitting that she had a rhinoplasty but said she did not have additional work done.

Alexa expanded on the statement on her Facebook page.

“The continuously-circulating rumors that I have had extensive ‘face-work’ and undergone breast-augmentation surgery is simply and entirely 100% false. The only thing I have ever had done is my nose, which I have always been completely candid, honest, and open about.”

But judging by the tropical vacation with her mom Christie Brinkley and the abundance of bikini pictures, Alexa Ray Joel isn’t too bothered showing her body.
