Prince George Lands On British GQ’s ’50 Best Dressed Men In 2015′ List [Photos]
Prince George, one-year-old son of Kate Middleton and Prince William, is already being recognized for his stylish ensembles, and British GQ has ensured to give him credit for his designer duds on their “50 Best Dressed Men in Britain- 2015” list. The prestigious magazine has added the toddler to the selection of “sartorially savvy” blokes by giving the tyke the 49th ranking.
GQ explained that George is “[a]lready following in the footsteps of his great-great-great-uncle, Edward VIII, and his grandfather, the Prince of Wales,” and adds that “Prince George looks set to become the UK’s best-dressed man.”
Determining the “gentlemen” that ended up as the resulting choices, including Prince George, for the honorary group on the 2015 list has to do with originality and “mixing it up” and, as the publication notes, Brit men do it well.
“This, after all, is what British men do best: mixing it up and turning out some of the most original looks you can find anywhere in the world – whether it’s Hackney hipsters with beards and tattoos or Royal personages sporting the very best of Savile Row and everything in between.”
It’s no wonder the tiny tot gained the accolades to be placed on the list among other British male icons of fashion such as Benedict Cumberbatch, Jamie Dornan, and Romeo Beckham. With his dapper vests, trendy overalls, and shoe-wear desirable to any youngster, George is “kind of a style prodigy,” as People Magazine states.
Topping the list, however, for most stylish male Brit is actor Eddie Redmayne. Andreas Löwenstam, head of H&M menswear design, commented on Redmayne’s style in a recent interview with GQ.
“This charismatic young actor manages to make any wardrobe staple look contemporary and stylish. Eddie’s ability to get his outfits so right with a mix of modern casual wear and a tailored classic makes him a true inspiration within men’s fashion.”
So George isn’t quite on the heels of Eddie just yet, but the prince can be pretty proud considering his own father, Prince William, and Uncle Harry did not even make the list. Perhaps William and Harry should wear more dungarees and show off their gams a bit more in trousers like little George does. Those adorable knit sweaters surely helped him onto the list also.
Mom to the toddler, the classy and chic Duchess of Cambridge, has selected well for her son when it comes to his attire, and she was also named as having superior style recently for her noteworthy looks.
