WWE News: Sting Shows Up On ‘Monday Night Raw’ — Challenges The Authority
Ever since his WWE debut at Survivor Series back in November, fans have been waiting for Sting to show back up on television. Well, they finally got their wish when he appeared on Monday Night Raw during the”Raw Reunion” to formally challenge The Authority who had recently returned to power a couple of weeks ago. With that, he officially kicked off the “Road to WrestleMania 31.”
Already in the evening, fans were able to see Hulk Hogan, DX, Ric Flair, the APA, the New Age Outlaws, the NWO, and more. Sting would be the ultimate topper, and they got their wish.

At the end of the night, John Cena had a handicap match set against Seth Rollins, Big Show, and Kane. If Cena won, then the trio of Erick Rowan, Dolph Ziggler, and Ryback would all get their jobs back. If he lost, he would lose his spot in the WWE title match at the Royal Rumble.
The Authority was working together as a unit against Cena and really stacking the odds against him. All of a sudden, Sting showed up on the TitanTron and freaked out the arena and The Authority. Triple H, Big Show, and Kane all stood in the aisle to confront him. Sting pointed right at Triple H and Cena rolled up Rollins in the ring for the win.
The three fired from Raw a few weeks ago had gotten their jobs back. Triple H went nuts and hopped on the announcer’s table to scream at the crowd, Cena, and Sting. Triple H continued to call out Sting and the crowd chanted for “The Vigilante,” but Brock Lesnar came out instead and took out The Authority as Seth Rollins ran to the back.
Smart to have @Sting show up on #RawReunion & save @JohnCena & again rub @TripleH adversely. Love no contact.

Rumors had been swirling around earlier in the day that a big angle was written in for Raw to kickoff 2015, per WrestleZone. While Sting didn’t show up on the first couple episodes of Raw this year, it was evident that his time was coming.
It was revealed back in December by Wrestling Inc. and others, that Sting had signed a performer’s contract with WWE and that would mean he’d be wrestling. The details of that contract also meant that he would only have six appearances per the deal, and one was used at Survivor Series. The thought would be that Sting would show up a couple of months before WrestleMania 31 and build up to a match with Triple H.
When John Cena’s team won at Survivor Series, The Authority was taken out of power with the stipulation that only Cena could put them back into power.
On Monday Night Raw a few weeks ago, Seth Rollins and the Big Show held guest host Edge captive and threatened to break his neck. Cena ran down for the save, but they pushed it even further.
Rollins then gave Cena an ultimatum. He could either put The Authority back in power or watch helplessly as Rollins curb-stomped Edge and broke his neck. John Cena agreed and submitted to putting The Authority back in power of WWE, and that was when the internet was set ablaze with hopes that Sting would be back.
With the “Raw Reunion” scheduled for this evening and numerous legends showing up, it was almost like an old episode of WCW Nitro. With Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and the NWO appearing; the only person missing was Sting and he did not disappoint all of those that have been waiting for him to show back up.
