Sylvester Stallone Reveals Title For ‘Rambo 5,’ Hints That It Will Be The Last In The Series
It has been seven years since Sylvester Stallone reprised the role of John Rambo on the big screen, and 33 years since the series began. However, after months of speculation, Stallone tweeted that the fifth film will happen before he begins his next project portraying gangster Greg Scarpa. In his tweet, Stallone not only confirmed the next Rambo film, but also revealed the title, hinting that it will be the last in the series.
In a tweet, Sylvester Stallone revealed that the title of Rambo 5 will Last Blood, closing the series that was started by First Blood.

Fox News reported that Stallone has talked openly about retiring the Rambo character, and doing so by bringing him to the big screen one last time. In order to ensure the franchise ends on a high note, Stallone has opted to write, direct, and star in the final film.

Reprising the role of Rambo is not the only character that Sylvester Stallone has revisited. His famous character Rocky Balboa is also coming back to the big screen, as reported by Variety, in what will be the seventh appearance of the character. Rocky Balboa will appear in Ryan Coogler’s Creed, where Stallone will be the trainer of Apollo Creed’s grandson, who will be portrayed by Michael B. Jordan.
Sylvester Stallone has neither commented further on Rambo 5: Last Blood nor revealed any further information regarding Creed. However, the announcement of both projects along with his portrayal of gangster Greg Scarpa, Sylvester Stallone has packed his foreseen future with action packed projects that will have fans on the edge of their seats.
When Rambo (2008) was released, it earned a total of $113 million worldwide. The last Rocky movie earned $155 million worldwide. The strong history for the films will surely bring out fans in mass to see what Stallone has to offer once again and if he can live up to the name of Rambo and Rocky once again.
